‘Band of Brothers’ vet to speak at WACO

James “Pee Wee” Martin, made famous by the HBO mini-series “Band of Brothers,” will speak in Troy as a part of the WACO Aviation Lecture Series on Thursday, Oct. 16. The WACO Historical Society, along with Troy Christian High School, will host this lecture at the Troy Christian High School gymnasium at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 pm.

Martin parachuted into Normandy on D-Day in World War II and also fought in Operation Market Garden and at Bastogne. Today, he is one of the last surviving World War II paratroopers still traveling and speaking as an eyewitness the unit’s experiences in the war.
