Support the future of aerospace!

Sustaining the legacy of the Wright brothers.

The National Aviation Heritage Area (NAHA) consists of the world’s largest military aviation museum, the birthplace of the Wright brothers and Neil Armstrong, and the National Aviation Hall of Fame. We overlap a National Water Trail and National Recreation Trail, and we house one-of-a-kind experiences found nowhere else in the world. For a full list of our sites, click here.

The National Aviation Heritage Area is the recognized center of aviation heritage tourism and aerospace innovation, sustaining the legacy of the Wright brothers. Our mission is to preserve and develop the assets in the National Aviation Heritage Area and promote the heritage and future of aerospace.

The National Aviation Heritage Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and the management entity of the heritage area, and while we do receive some federal funding, for every federal dollar we are granted, we must raise at least $1 in matching support. Consider making a tax-deductible donation or spread out your investment with a reoccurring donation.

Your donation supports:

  • Mitchell Cary/Don Gum Memorial Aviation Scholarship
    • NAHA’s scholarship program that provides $1,500 worth of flying lessons towards earning a Private Pilot or Light Sport Pilot’s Certificate.
  • Wright Company Factory
    • The first purpose-built structure for manufacturing airplanes. Built for the Wright Brothers in 1910 and 1911, this site marks the transition in aviation from hobby and invention to industry. NAHA supports the National Park Service in its efforts to restore and preserve the historic building.
