The Springfield Barnstorming Carnival returned Saturday, and in contrast to the overcast and rain of the first event last year, clear skies welcomed pilots to this vintage airplane fly-in.
Pilots and aviation organizations from Ohio and elsewhere came together to engage the community and share their hobby. More than 30 aircraft were displayed throughout the day.
Rick Allnutt of Beavercreek was one of the local pilots who participated. “It’s always fun to get together when vintage planes are around,” he said.
