NASA image of Pluto taken by New Horizons spacecraft
NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft captured this image of Pluto in 2015 thanks in part to its radioisotope thermoelectric generator (RTG). The RTG was invented in what’s now the National Aviation Heritage Area at the Mound Laboratory in Miamisburg.
