FAIRBORN, Ohio—The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force’s newest building is the subject of a talk scheduled for the Huffman Prairie Aviation History Society’s next meeting on Monday, April 4.
Tony Sculimbrene, executive director of the National Aviation Heritage Alliance (NAHA), and Jim Blackman of the National Museum are to discuss plans for the museum’s Fourth Building Grand Opening, scheduled for the weekend of June 11-12 (view PDF flyer). The museum’s official opening date is Wednesday, June 8.
The presentation is to focus on the details of the new building, as well as what is being done to promote other sites and activities within the region.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center at 2380 Memorial Road (intersection of State Route 444 and Kauffman Road), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The event is free and open to the public.
