TROY, Ohio—Pastor and Army Reserve Chaplain’s Assistant Tony Miltenberger will share stories about warriors returning home and offer tools and techniques for successful homecomings at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the WACO Air Museum.
People, places and things a warrior grew up with can look different after a long deployment. Far too often, the space he or she called home no longer feels safe. Navigating changed relationships and creating systems where the warrior feels whole again can be a daunting task.
Miltenberger is a 16-year Army Reserve veteran with deployments in support of missions in the Balkans, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Strong Bonds reintegration retreats. In addition to his work with the Army Reserve, Tony and Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Charles Causey published Unbreakable (Abingdon Press) in mid- 2014. Unbreakable is a marriage workbook designed to help warriors and civilians deal with the realities of a life-long commitment.
This presentation is scheduled to last 90 minutes. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is free; donations are welcome to benefit WACO Historical Society. The WACO Air Museum is located at 1865 South County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373. Visit wacoairmuseum.org for more information or call (937) 335-9226.
