What’s it like to fly in an open cockpit biplane? The WACO Air Museum will offer a chance to find out with biplane rides from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19 at Historic WACO Field in Troy, Ohio.
Rides are $90 per person and two passengers can fly together in a 1993 WACO Classic. This is a modern reproduction of a WACO YMF5.
Gift certificates are available online and in the museum’s gift shop. Tickets are also available on the field. The flights will be weather permitting.
The WACO Historical Society has a dual purpose: Preservation of history of the WACO Aircraft Company and the Golden Age of Flight; and the education of young people in the area of math, science, technology and history, using aviation themes as a means toward enhancing student enthusiasm and response to traditional classroom curriculum.
