Wright State celebrates Wright Bros Day

Several NAHA partners participated in Wright State University’s fourth annual Wright Brothers day in the Student Union from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2. The event, organized by students in the Wright State Chapter of the American Marketing Association, is held close to Oct. 5, the date in 1905 when Wilbur Wright flew the Wright Flyer III for more than 39 minutes over nearby Huffman Prairie, demonstrating the Wright brothers had developed a practical flying machine.

NAHA, Wright State Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives, the National Park and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force were among many exhibitors. We drew a big crowd of students-we’re sure the free pizza had nothing to do with it!
